Scifantastic cover

Scifantastic Cover

Issue 4 of Scifantastic, with a cover by me.
It's Easter break at the moment, but I'm still coming in to Uni and working away. The routine seems to be mostly: training at the gym, working at uni, drinking lots. Not always in that order. Yesterday, I got to learn some more moves with the staff, did some drawing, then went to a pub quiz at the Cumberland arms (which we've been to the last three days in a row). The team consisted of me, Andy, Matt, Sam, Iain and Leanne, although I was kinda hogging the answer sheet and the pen. Not because I knew the answers, just because I love quizzes so much. We came second, (which is apparently better than coming first according to Iain, because only Poindexters win quizzes) and we won five pounds. Woo hoo.

Loved the sequence of illustrations I saw last week, and the subtle colour shift - nice! Great to see your desk piling up with lovely work. This is to remind you to eat plenty of Easter eggs (good news), and do your planner (bad news), so we can have a good overview of what still needs to happen when we get back after Easter. Cheers Leonie, Donna Barkess

Now that cover I likes!

it's nerdlingers that win quizzes, poindexters bring their own lucky pen and try to insist on specialist rounds about Terry Pratchett books.
yes..there were both there..also one or two rare geekanoids.

great cover leo..like the colours. plus..y'know fishladies are cool.

So, Andy, what do you call someone who knows the names and categories of different types of geeks?

Thanks Donna. I certainly promise to eat lots of chocolate, (a promise I can keep all year round, not just at Easter) and I will have some sort of plan ready.

Thanks sheriff, for a moment I thought Popeye had visited my blog.

And, Nulsh...please do some more of your Numbness comic!

i recall the person who knew the names and categories of all different types of geeks being in power rangers (possibly even played by the mighty ron balicki).

it's a "super mega ultra geekanerdlinger strappa zoid"

it's what happens if six geekanoids form a pub quiz team and merge like voltron.
you need two terry pratchett fans for the legs, a comic store sales assistant for the body, two star wars obsessives for the arms and a general all round loser (like me) for the head.
you can only buy the action figure in japan..i'll draw you a picture some time.

see!? i'm a freaking expert!

Leonie,

Wow .. just saw this link over on Bugpowder ... what a fab piece of cover art .. very nice ...
