Exhibition and harbour horror!
I have a small exhibition in Middlesbrough next week:
I'm showing some pages from SFP, Monstrum and two illustrations.
I went back to Ireland for a few days last week, they've started tearing up the harbour where I grew up to build an ugly and unnecessary new marina. There was a real public outcry against it and a lot of protests, but it still managed to get the go ahead.
How the harbour used to look:
How it currently looks:
And how it will apparently look when finished:

(It may look all lovely and modern in this sunny picture but imagine it in the pouring rain, because that's how Greystones looks for most of the year.)

I want to come but I'm at work. Make sure to take some photos!

Congratulations on the exhibition!
Maybe a comic strip set in the Greystone(n) future?

Just wondering did you happen to see 'imagine'(currently available on iplayer) about the development of the opera 'monkey'; there's a shark soldier illustration.

I checked that out, thanks, it's cool. I like the Starfish costume too, I'd wear that.
Greystones will definitely make a guest appearance in some comics! I also found out recently that the harbour was used as a location for a BBC show, which is is on iplayer, so now I can watch that and get all teary eyed.
Aah...the good old days.
I have taken photos of the exhibition and will get around to posting them up eventually.
